19-year-old Sunshine Coast racing driver Harri Jones has just won the Australian Formula 3 Championship after a double victory at The Bend, taking his 11th race victory for the season in a closely fought final round.

Jones had a 7-point margin to Toowoomba’s Cameron Shields going into the final round. He qualified 2nd but a superb start won him the first race.
Another textbook race in race 2 meant the Championship win was secured, provided he finished the last race of the weekend.

“I'm so happy for the entire team that all of our hard work paid off! It was an exceptional season, a steep learning curve and I just can’t believe that we’ve done it!!” said an ecstatic Jones.

"I have gained so much valuable experience this season, learning from the likes of Bruce Jenkins and James Winslow, and I feel my driving has been taken to the next level.

Jones would also like to thank his sponsors and supporters for his 2018 Australian F3 Campaign:
